Hindu - what does it mean?

The above is a link to an appendix in Sitaram Goel's book. It is an informative and thoughtprovoking piece on the word 'Hindu' and its fortunes down the ages. This comes all the way from how contemptuously the word 'Hindu' was used by Zoroastrians and later by Muslims to how it was used with pride during the 14th Century CE by various Hindu kings. It doesn't stop there but continues with how the British/Communist/Christian imperialists view the word 'Hindu'. Now, the so-called Dalits are using Hindu as a four letter word.

The word has travelled through the ages and means different things to different people. Click on the above link to read more.
